The meaning
Ring Shout: Indigo Trance
On the Carolina coast lives a tradition older than memory: the ring shout. Bodies moving in sacred circle, feet barely leaving the earth, voices carrying what words can’t.
The ceremony slavery could not erase. Not art about the past. A transmission from it.
